Meet our Staff
Christian Creyer, Pastor
Rev. Christian Creyer comes to Chestnut Hill Church UCC after serving two other congregations in PA. He brings over 10 years of ministry experience with him and loves the fellowship of Chestnut Hill Church. He has served communities of faith in Lancaster County and in Berks County and has come home to the Lehigh Valley at Chestnut Hill Church. Before studying at Lancaster Theological Seminary, Pastor Christian was a Certified Public Accountant with nearly 20 years of accounting experience and serving multiple private and public companies.
He and his wife Stephanie reside in Allentown with their dog, Oliver, and Stephanie’s dad, Curt. Stephanie has a daughter, Courtney, and you will often hear her and Pastor Christian talking about their granddaughter, who is the daughter of Courtney’s partner, Danielle. They love spending time with Courtney, Dani, and especially Autumn. You will sometimes see all three in church with Autumn often wanting to know when “Peepaw” is going to talk.
In his spare time, Pastor Christian enjoys spending time with family and doing some of the things that bring him peace and comfort. Two of Pastor Christian’s favorite spiritual practices are working on counted cross-stitch projects and reading horror novels. His passion, though, is spending time in the woods hunting. While he may not get to do it often, and even when he does not get to hunt, you may still find him enjoying the peace and quiet of the woods and being in God’s great creation.
Jessica Yaich, Secretary
Jessica Yaich is a lifelong member of the church, and currently lives in Allentown, PA with her 2 sons (Christian, age 12 and Ashton, age 2) and her husband, Philip. Previously, she lived in Emmaus for 10 years and prior to that grew up with her family in the Center Valley/ Coopersburg area.
Preceding her work as Secretary, at Chestnut Hill Church, Jessica was a Rental Assistant at a subsidized government housing building in Allentown. She is alumna of both Kutztown and Lehigh University where she earned degrees in Professional Communications and Special Education, respectively.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys traveling and being outdoors. Jessica prefers Caribbean destinations and hopes to one day visit each of the places in the Beach Boys song, “Kokomo”.

David comes to us from the Quakertown area and has many years of accounting experience, in particular, working with church finances.
He and his wife, Patricia, reside in Quakertown with their two dogs, Danny & Charlie. When not involved in church spiritual or financial work, he can be found working on his golf game and enjoying time with his family

She is a vocal music teacher at the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts on the Southside of Bethlehem and loves teaching choir, music theory, music history, and vocal techniques classes.
In her spare time, she enjoys doing a lot of music things, especially playing piano, but her other hobbies include reading, taking her dog on walks, and spending time with her family.
Sandy Eckhart, Church Sexton
Sandy comes to us from Allentown, PA, and has served as a sexton at multiple churches.
She currently lives in Salisbury Township where she resides with her husband, Glenn, and their rescue fur family, which consists of: two Cocker Spaniels, two cats, two parakeets, and two silkie chickens. Sandy teases that she may have developed her love of animals from growing up on a farm in Lynn Township.
In addition to the services she provides to our church, she also works part-time at the Lehigh County Department of Veteran Affairs and is also a Notary Public for the Commonwealth of PA.
Sandy enjoys history immensely and frequently travels to Gettysburg, Philadelphia and the Lehigh County Heritage Museum. (Sandy even exchanged her wedding vows dressed in Civil War era attire.) Sandy also enjoys writing, collecting books, working on her family genealogy, spending time in nature through gardening and trails and serves on several Executive Boards. She considers herself to be a lifelong learner and is currently pursuing part-time studies in Psychology at DeSales University.
